The mere configuration of terrain in the Bovec basin makes it perfectly tailored for cross-country skiing. The airport of Bovec and its extension in the direction of the hillock Rabaljk is preferred by less demanding cross-country skiers. Those who look for more of a challenge will enjoy the piste that slithers in the vicinity of village of Čezsoča, while the real enthusiasts will not hesitate to speed down the piste in the Loška Koritnica valley, where they can enjoy complete mental peace and relaxation between the slopes of Jalovec, Loška Stena and the magnificent Mangart. In the future, cross-country skiers will be able to enjoy the track running along the valley Zapodna (Zadnja Trenta), which is destined to become one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing tracks in the Julian Alps.
