BASIC EXPERIENCE OF WATER

RAFTING + CANYONING (Sušec)
If you want to take in the beauty of the emerald river in the company of friends or a seasoned guide then RAFTING - a trip with a large dinghy - is the best possible way to actively experience the tour and to connect with natural environment of the river. Participants do not need any prior rafting experience for it will only take them a few minutes on the river to evolve into efficient members of the rowing team, overwhelmed with joy as they cheerfully dart through rapids, dark green pools and manoeuvre through giant boulders towards the goal line in Trnovo ob Soči. The unforgettable adventure is of course followed by traditional bathing in a river Soča pool.

If you have already tried rafting and would now like to experience new adventures on the river Soča then HYDROSPEED is perfect for you. It is a descent in a floating plastic bobsled you can easily guide and direct using fins on your feet. It is done on a shorter section of the rafting track which ends in Trnovo ob Soči. Higher level of physical fitness is desired for hydrospeed as the swimming in the river Soča lasts for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

TANDEM PARAGLIDING: Whoever invented this form of flying must have been inspired by the valley of river Soča! It is almost impossible to find this many opportunities for excellent gliding on such a small territory as the slopes, mountains and excellent thermal wind conditions of the Bovec region offer. The Kanin, Planja and the Mangart mountain pass, which are all easily accessible, offer fans of paragliding excellent starting points for prolonged and extensive flights above the Julian Alps. In the company of mountain eagles, buzzards and jackdaws high above the peaks of the Julian Alps, with a view of the Adriatic in the south and the magnificent massif of the central Alps in the north. While the pleasant sound of the variometer is telling us that our flight will last a long time, we can truly experience the thrills that enticed the legendary Icarus to fly ever higher. The winter tandem paraglides start at the Kanin ski resort - 2,200m ASL.

SPELEOLOGY: Bovec is situated on the margin of the karst world. Mt. Rombon and Mt. Kanin are mountains with the deepest abysses in the EU and as such are an outstanding attraction for speleologists from all over the world. Our offer includes the smaller but more accessible relatives of these giant phenomena. One such is the Mala Boka cave, adjoining the Boka waterfall; after a relatively short ascent this cave reveals a world of underground beauty, which can, moreover, be found elsewhere in Slovenia.

CANYONING (Predelica, Fratarca): Bovec is a country rich with waterfalls, canyons and steep waters that are transformed by the river Soča's miraculous emerald chemistry. Indeed, this has to be explored; but even in this exploration we feel the need to respectfully touch these stones which have never before felt the touch of human feet - and then devoutly step aside. We are talking about canyoning, an activity which makes us sense the impervious majesty of the mountains, the unbeatable power of gravitation and the ever-fascinating colours of the pools. Finally we find ourselves in touch with the primeval, something beyond most modern perception. No-one need fear the art of canyoning, as many gentle variations on this spectacular theme are available, all within easy access.

BEAUTY & FLAVOURS OF THE VALLEY EXPERIENCE

OFF-ROAD TOUR + ETHNO PICNIC
OFF-ROAD TOUR + ETHNO PICNIC: We organize an attack on mountain roads. All roads lead to Bovec, some of them unsurfaced, others not. Importantly these roads are situated where the noise of motors will upset no-one. Spice is added to the adventure with Bovec snacks, a real farmer's picnic based on Bovec sheep's milk cheese, the region's most distinguished culinary item.
